- Support Services Manager
Employed in a responsible and busy role, I believed I was losing focus and confidence in certain areas. I was aware I was becoming rather quiet in meetings and felt I was lacking in motivation.
I was fortunate to have an employer who not only gave me time off to attend Coaching, but also paid for my sessions. I had not previously attended coaching so the initial consultation was helpful because it allowed me to ask questions, understand the process.
I wanted to focus on important projects/work areas and find my confidence. I also wanted to find my voice again. When I met with Sue I was a tired, deflated and slightly unhappy manager. I had fleeting moments where I wanted to leave my job because I felt rather unappreciated. At our first session, Sue encouraged me to have a healthy and realistic work life balance by helping me plan a general week sensibly at our first session. I cannot describe in words how important a work/life balance plan is for everyone. Simple, small changes can make a massive difference.
Sue showed a genuine interest to understand my organisation and my role within it. She challenged me by using the right questioning techniques. Our discussions helped me create a Mind Map, which in turn helped me to be more self-reflective.
My sessions at Life Coaching Solutions reminded me how to be assertive and organised. I realised that I was actually very good at my job, and that I enjoyed my work. I understood my worth and what I contributed to my organisation, and was once again focused.
Needless to say, I found my voice! 🙂
