Believing that we are good enough, or deserving, or capable and able is absolutely the foundation for a positive life.
With self-belief, so much is possible.
Self-belief is a huge topic of conversation in coaching currently, whether it be from clients who approach me to help increase theirs or from my suggestions that more would enhance their life.
So, what is it?
I like to think of it as like an inner rod of steel going through the middle our body, from head to toe but one which is on fire, warm, alive, bright and represents hotspots, love and energy for ourselves.
Self- belief is not about being arrogant, or cocky, shouting about ourselves from the roof tops or blowing our own trumpet loudly. It’s that quiet, inner voice which says I trust myself to be capable and good, decent and skilled, able and successful.
It doesn’t doubt successes or strengths. It doesn’t question achievements or identity. It knows who we are and what we bring to the world. It believes we are enough. Good enough. Better than good enough. It says yes I can and I will. I have the ability. It doesn’t say unkind things to ourselves and it isn’t mean and derogatory of accomplishments. It is kind.
Self belief brings kindness to ourselves and the potential for opportunities we would otherwise miss.
Self-belief is vital. We need to breathe it in and keep it within.
If you’re struggling to feel good about yourself, coaching can help get your inner being warm, alight, excited and open to know who you truly are. We all deserve that.
