The What, How, Why, Who, When and Where of Coaching.
Coaching is professional, one to one support focusing on moving forward, step by step towards what you want from life, personally and professionally. It requires positive action and change and is empowering and rewarding.
Outcomes or objectives to work to are discussed and agreed at the first meeting and are usually your very own. We work to goals which are realistic, specific, measurable, time scaled and exciting.
Examples of positive changes include:
- Managing stress
- Being more impactful at work
- Improving physical and emotional health and wellbeing
- Feeling good about yourself
- Managing finances and being organised
- Feeling happier, healthier or more confident
- Finding contentment, satisfaction, calm and fulfilment
- Improving relationships
- Life/ Work balance
Currently, and in fact for the last 18-24 months or so, many clients have come to coaching feeling somewhat lost, stuck, going round in circles and in a rut, with decisions to make and not knowing where to start. If any of that is how you feel, coaching helps unravel what is overwhelming you and plan next steps.
Coaching can help with business, confidence and self-esteem, career, relationships, health and wellbeing and through the many phases of life.
Questions are vital to get to the heart of the matter, for both the client and the coach.
How does coaching work?
Through questioning and expert listening, to not only what is being said but what isn’t, through great rapport and trust, exploring values and beliefs, by being open and honest, finding solutions and taking action.
You might come to coaching if you feel at a crossroads in your life or desire change or success.
Coaching is for everyone but perhaps more so anyone needing a little help to feel better about life.
It fits best at a time when you can focus on yourself without interruptions or other pressing commitments either morning, afternoon or evening around your life.
Coaching can be face to face, over the telephone, via Skype, by email or within your workplace or organisation.
